Pregnant Teacher Found Dead Near Railway Crossing in Kushinagar

A pregnant school teacher named Pinky Gupta was found dead near a railway crossing in the Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh.

She was 35 and had been on maternity leave from her job as an assistant teacher.

Her body was mutilated and was found about 100 metres south of the Gorakhpur‑Thawe railway track.

Pinky’s husband, Ravindra Gupta, who also works as a teacher, identified the body after he could not reach her on Saturday.

Police found the body after the Anand Vihar‑Chhapra Express train passed the area around 8 pm.

The case is being investigated as a possible murder, but the exact reason for her death is still unknown.
