Supreme Court Closes Case After NCERT Withdraws Judiciary Chapter

The Supreme Court was looking into a Class 8 textbook chapter that discussed corruption in the judiciary.

The chapter was later removed and replaced.

An expert panel set up by the Centre suggested revisions to the textbook.

The solicitor general told the court that the new books are already being used.

Because the old chapter was withdrawn, the court ended its case.

The court also explained an earlier statement about how the curriculum was considered.

That statement came from the solicitor general’s submission.

It was not the court’s own decision or criticism of academics.
