Mumbai to Relocate Suburban Cattle Sheds to Dapchari
Mumbai is moving all the cow sheds outside the city to a place called Dapchari because of the damage caused by floods in 2005.
The city's government, BMC, is telling the owners of the sheds that they need to move by the end of August.
There are a lot of these sheds, but only a few have permission.
The government is also making sure that the new place in Dapchari has everything the cows and their owners need, like roads and water.
This is happening because the court told the city to do it, and it's a way to make the city safer.
Mumbai is relocating all suburban cattle sheds to Dapchari in Palghar district.
BMC instructed ward officials to issue notices to tabela owners by the end of August.
The relocation follows Bombay High Court directives and the 2005 Mumbai floods.
Only 59 of the city's 263 cattle sheds have valid licenses.
Infrastructure improvements, including roads and water, are planned for Dapchari.
