Gujarat Police Arrest Bhavnagar Hooch Tragedy’s Main Accused

Police in Gujarat arrested a man named Raees in Ujjain.

They say he is the main accused in a poisonous-liquor case.

Eleven people died after drinking the liquor in Bhavnagar district.

Police also suspect that Narendra Yadav, nicknamed ‘Doctor,’ helped make the drink.

Yadav was from Morena and also died after consuming it.

A laboratory found that the drink contained 38.59% methanol.

Methanol is a poisonous chemical that is not used in genuine licensed alcoholic drinks.

Congress leader Jitu Patwari said the liquor had come from Ujjain.

He asked Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav to explain how this could happen despite alcohol bans.
