TCA Releases 2026–27 Domestic Cricket Calendar
The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) has announced its plan for the 2026–27 cricket season.
This plan is the 12th year in a row that TCA has made such a plan to help Telangana's teams get ready for big cricket tournaments in India.
The TCA says it follows the rules set by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Because another group, the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), is not following these rules, the TCA will organize its own tournaments.
The TCA wants to make sure cricket is fair and that players are chosen based on their skills.
They also want to find new talented players from all over Telangana, except Hyderabad city.
The TCA hopes the BCCI will help solve a long-standing problem so Telangana teams can play in national tournaments.
TCA announced the 2026–27 domestic cricket calendar, its 12th consecutive year of structured planning.
The calendar adheres to BCCI directives for coordinated promotion and merit-based selection of state teams.
TCA will independently organize tournaments due to HCA's non-compliance with BCCI directives.
The calendar emphasizes transparency, merit-based selection, and development of cricket infrastructure in Telangana.
Grassroots development is prioritized with district-level league cricket planned across all 32 districts of Telangana, excluding Hyderabad city.
