Delhi court rejects lie-detector plea in NEET-UG 2026 leak case

People who want to become doctors in India take a very important test called NEET UG.

This year, it is suspected that some people got the test questions before the exam and shared them, which is called a paper leak.

A police team called the CBI is investigating what happened.

Three people suspected of being involved asked a judge if they could take special tests, like a lie detector test, to help show they were innocent.

The judge said no to those tests.

The judge also decided that the three suspects must stay in custody until August 12.

The police have prepared a very big report with evidence against 13 people.

The judge has not yet decided whether to accept that report because it is so large, and he will make his decision on August 12.

Until then, everyone is waiting to see what happens next.
