Kerala records over 75% voter turnout in second phase of local body polls
In Kerala, India, people voted in the second part of their local elections.
More than 75% of people voted, which is a lot!
The places with the most voters were Wayanad, Malappuram, and Kozhikode.
There were many voting spots, and some were extra safe because they were sensitive.
The first part of the voting happened earlier, and the results will be counted soon.
This is important because it helps choose leaders for their local areas.
The main groups in the election are the LDF, UDF, and BJP.
The LDF thinks they will win, but the UDF thinks people want a change.
The BJP thinks people will reject both the LDF and UDF.
Over 75% voter turnout recorded in seven districts of Kerala in the second phase of local body polls.
Wayanad district had the highest turnout at 77.73%, followed by Malappuram and Kozhikode.
Voting took place in 18,274 polling stations, including 2,055 sensitive stations.
A total of 12,391 wards across 604 local bodies went to polls.
Counting of votes for both phases will be held on December 13.
