Copyright Infringement Alleged Over Saat Samundar Paar Song
A new movie called Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, is facing a legal problem.
A company called Trimurti Films has sued the movie's production company, Dharma Productions, saying they own the rights to an old song used in the movie.
The song is called Saat Samundar Paar and was originally in a 1992 film.
Trimurti Films wants the court to stop the movie from using the song and is asking for 10 crore rupees in damages.
The movie is set to release on December 25, and the court will hear the case on December 22.
The movie team hasn't responded to these allegations yet.
This isn't the first time a Bollywood movie has faced legal trouble over using old songs.
Trimurti Films Pvt Ltd has sued Dharma Productions over the use of the song Saat Samundar Paar in the upcoming film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.
The plaintiff alleges copyright infringement and demands ₹10 crore in damages and a permanent injunction against the song's use.
The case is listed for hearing on December 22 in the Bombay High Court.
The film, starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, is scheduled for release on December 25.
The defendants include Dharma Productions, Namah Pictures Pvt Ltd, Saregama India Ltd, and rapper-composer Baadshah.
