Sachin Waze Seeks Dismissal of ED Case, Denies Taking Money from Bar Owners
Sachin Waze, a former Mumbai police officer, is asking the court to stop the money laundering case against him.
He says he didn't take any money from bar owners, which is what the Enforcement Directorate (ED) says he did.
Waze is in jail for another case, and he and some others are accused in two cases about bribes from bars and restaurants.
Waze was let out of one case, but he's still accused in the other one, and the trials haven't started yet.
Sachin Waze, dismissed Mumbai police assistant inspector, has moved court to drop the Enforcement Directorate (ED) case against him.
Waze claims he did not benefit from any money collected from bar owners, contrary to ED's allegations.
He is currently in jail for another case involving an explosive-laden car and a murder linked to it.
Waze and former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, along with two others, are accused in both CBI and ED cases related to bribes from bars and restaurants.
Waze was granted bail in the CBI case but remains accused in the ED case, with trials yet to begin.
