Engineers of tomorrow must combine CS, AI and domain expertise

Ten emerging career roles were outlined, including AI Agent Architect, Human-AI Collaboration Engineer, AI Alignment Engineer, Digital Twinning Engineer and Synthetic Data Engineer.
Other emerging roles include Quantum Software Developer, Post-Quantum Cryptography Specialist, Green AI Software Engineer, Robot Fleet Engineer and Computational-X Engineer.
Students are advised to build strong foundations in computer science, AI, mathematics and systems thinking while developing expertise in at least one other domain.
