Mumbai AQI Falls 43 Points in 48 Hours to 120

Mumbai’s air quality score was 120 on Thursday.

That was 43 points lower than it had been two days earlier.

Some parts of the city had higher readings, with Worli recording the highest one.

The report says only 20 of Mumbai’s 30 air-monitoring stations were working that day.

The city’s municipal corporation has announced a plan to tackle pollution.

It will monitor places such as construction sites, waste-burning spots and busy roads.

It is also cleaning roads after the monsoon using recycled water or misting.

If pollution at a monitoring station stays above 300 for three days, certain polluting activities nearby can be stopped.
