Hyderabad Men Lose Lakhs in Cyber Scams
Two men in Hyderabad lost a lot of money in different online scams.
One man was tricked by someone pretending to be a woman offering paid services on Telegram.
The scammer asked for money for different things like booking fees and room charges, but when the man went to the hotel, no one was there.
The other man was tricked into using a fake online trading platform on WhatsApp.
The platform let him withdraw some money at first to gain his trust, but later blocked his account and asked for more money.
Both men reported the scams to the police.
The police advise people to be careful with unknown profiles and fake trading platforms and to report any suspicious activity.
