Complainant calls TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee 'psycho' after court protection
A man named Abhijit Das is worried about his safety.
He lives in a place called Diamond Harbour in India.
He says a powerful politician named Abhishek Banerjee hurt him many times.
Abhishek Banerjee is a member of parliament for a political party called the Trinamool Congress.
The police had registered many cases against Mr. Banerjee.
A big court called the Calcutta High Court said Mr. Banerjee cannot be arrested for now.
Mr. Das is scared that Mr. Banerjee might hurt him even while traveling to another country.
Mr. Banerjee got permission to go abroad for eye treatment.
Mr. Das also says his security guards were taken away.
He still says he is not afraid, but he wants everyone to know the truth.
The Calcutta High Court granted Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee interim protection from arrest in three more cases registered by the West Bengal Police.
Complainant Abhijit Das, a BJP leader from Diamond Harbour, called Banerjee a 'psycho' and alleged he could order his killing even from abroad.
The state police had registered a total of 16 cases against Banerjee, with interim protection earlier granted in 13 of them.
Das said he filed 17 complaints against Banerjee, leading to FIRs in 10 to 12 cases, and claimed he was attacked three to four times, including in December 2018.
The Supreme Court permitted Banerjee to travel abroad for three weeks for medical treatment of his eye, and Das claimed his CISF security was removed after he filed a petition at the Calcutta High Court.
