Dhami Pays Tribute to Gandhi, Shastri and Uttarakhand Martyrs
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami remembered Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
He paid flowers to their portraits on their birth anniversaries.
Dhami said Gandhi’s ideas about truth and non-violence are still important.
He also praised Shastri for being honest, simple and dedicated to India.
Shastri’s slogan was “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan.”
Later, Dhami visited a memorial in Dehradun.
He honored people who died while working for Uttarakhand to become a separate state.
He said their sacrifices should guide the state’s future development.
