Election Day 2025: State Poll Opening and Closing Times
On November 4th, 2025, people across America will vote in elections for their states and local areas.
It's not a presidential election, but important decisions will be made.
Every state has different times for when people can start voting and when the voting places close.
Most places open around 7 in the morning, but some open as early as 5 or as late as 8.
Most places close between 7 and 8 in the evening.
If you are already waiting in line when it's time to close, you will still be able to vote.
Millions of Americans will vote in state and local elections on November 4, 2025.
Polling hours vary significantly by state, and sometimes by county or municipality.
Most states open polls at 7:00 am local time, but some open earlier or later.
The majority of polling stations close between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm local time.
Voters already in line by the closing time will be allowed to cast their ballot.
