Mumbai 26/11 Trial Moves Closer as Proclamation Process Begins

Six people wanted in the Mumbai 26/11 terror attack case have not appeared before the court.

Police are taking formal steps to declare them proclaimed offenders.

A proclamation order was issued on June 30.

It was sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs, which confirmed receiving it on August 3.

The order may then be sent to Interpol because the accused are residing in Pakistan.

The prosecution says it needs more time to complete this process.

The court will hear an update on September 14.

If the accused still do not appear, the trial may continue without them, with lawyers appointed to represent them.
