Teachers Plan Nationwide Protest Over TET
Teachers from all over India had a big meeting in New Delhi.
They are upset because the government says they need to pass a special test called TET, even if they have been teaching for a long time.
The teachers think this is unfair and want the government to let them keep teaching without taking the test.
They also want better pay and working conditions.
They plan to protest together to make the government listen to them.
Teachers’ unions decided to launch a national protest demanding exemption from TET for in-service teachers.
The decision was made at a meeting in New Delhi, chaired by C.N. Bharti.
Teachers are upset about a Supreme Court verdict requiring them to pass TET within two years.
They blame the Central Government and NCTE for not providing correct information to the court.
Additional demands include scrapping NPS and UPS, restoring the Old Pension Scheme, and improving working conditions.
