Satwik-Chirag’s Bond Drives Their Continued Badminton Success
Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty are a famous badminton team from India.
They have played together for about 10 years.
They say they stay strong because they talk openly and want the same things.
Sometimes they disagree, but they listen to each other and keep working together.
They recently won the China Masters after losing in the quarterfinals of the World Championships.
The players have already won important titles, including Asian Games gold.
They still want to win an Olympic medal.
For now, they are improving their defence, staying healthy and concentrating on one match at a time.
Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty say their 10-year partnership is built on belonging, open communication and shared goals.
The pair recently won the Super 750 China Masters after exiting the 2026 World Championships in Delhi at the quarterfinal stage.
They have achieved major milestones, including becoming the first Indian men’s doubles pair to reach world No. 1 and winning Asian Games gold.
The players say disagreements, injuries, criticism and poor form have strengthened their partnership rather than prompting them to split.
They are focusing on defence, match rhythm and taking one match at a time as they pursue the Olympic medal missing from their achievements.
