In Telangana, schools that help students are done with letting kids into the first year of high school, called Intermediate.
Over 17,000 spots were filled up!
To get into special schools called Centres of Excellence (CoEs) that prepare students for tough tests, kids needed to do very well in their last year of middle school.

These CoEs give extra help like special classes, digital tools, and help kids learn what they need to know to do well in national tests.
