14-Year-Old Boy Allegedly Dies by Suicide at Hyderabad Home

A 14-year-old boy named Prashant was found dead at his home in Hyderabad.

Police said he allegedly died by suicide by hanging.

His father had gone to work, and his mother had taken his sister to a hostel.

Prashant spoke with his father by phone in the afternoon and said he had eaten.

When his father called again around 7 p.m., Prashant did not answer.

The father came home at about 8:30 p.m.

and found him.

The family had earlier reprimanded Prashant after he said he did not want to attend school.

Police are investigating, and the exact reason for his death has not been established.
