Mumbai University Launches Apprenticeship-Embedded B.E. Programme

Mumbai University has started a new engineering programme that includes workplace training.

Some final-year B.E. students can choose this option.

The apprenticeship takes place during the seventh and eighth semesters.

Students spend one full year working in an industry setting.

They must complete at least 1,260 hours of practical training.

This helps them see how engineering knowledge is used in real projects.

Students who finish successfully receive 42 credits toward their degree.

Only up to 15% of final-year students can participate.

Students need at least a 6.75 CGPA by the fifth semester, and selection is based on merit.

Students in Honours, Minor, or Honours with Research programmes cannot use this route.
