Delhi Minister Studies E-waste Recycling in Norway, Plans Eco-Park
Delhi is building a special park to recycle old electronics, like phones and computers.
To learn the best way to do it, Delhi's Environment and Industries Minister went to Norway to visit a facility called Revac.
He wanted to see how they safely take apart electronics and reuse materials.
Delhi's new park, located at Holambi Kalan, will handle all kinds of e-waste, create new jobs, and help the city make money while protecting the environment.
The park will follow a model similar to the one in Norway.
Delhi's Minister visited Norway's Revac facility to study e-waste management practices.
The visit aims to ensure Delhi's upcoming e-waste park adopts global environmental standards.
The e-waste park at Holambi Kalan will operate under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.
The park will process 51,000 metric tonnes of e-waste annually across 106 categories.
The project is expected to generate over Rs 350 crore in revenue and create green jobs.
