In the last 24 hours, eight people died and several were injured in different road accidents across Jharkhand.

One accident involved an auto-rickshaw and an oil tanker, killing four people, including a young schoolgirl.

In another accident, two people died when their motorcycle skidded off the road.

In Ranchi, a biker was hit by a speeding car and died.

Another accident in Godda district involved a car and a truck, killing one person.

The drivers in some of these accidents fled the scene, and the police are looking for them.

The injured people were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
