Moldova Accuses Russia of Drone Intrusions
Moldova said that two Russian drones flew into its airspace, which made them close the airspace for a little while.
This is the third time this has happened in nine days.
The Moldovan president, Maia Sandu, thinks Russia is trying to scare Moldova because it wants to join the European Union.
Russia's ambassador in Moldova says the drones might not have even been involved and that Moldova is trying to make things worse between their countries.
Moldova's parliament also decided to close a Russian cultural center because they think it might spread ideas that are not safe for their country.
Moldovan authorities reported that two Russian drones entered their airspace on November 29, 2023.
The incident led to the closure of Moldova's airspace for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
This is the third such incident in nine days, with previous intrusions on November 20 and earlier this week.
Moldova's President Maia Sandu has accused Russia of trying to destabilize the country.
Russia's Ambassador to Moldova, Oleg Ozerov, has cast doubt on the involvement of the drones and suggested the incidents are aimed at worsening relations.
