BRS Protests Across District Demanding Road and Infrastructure Development
Imagine the roads and local facilities in your town are not very good.
Some politicians from a group called BRS are unhappy about this.
They went to the offices of other politicians and held protests.
They said that money meant for local development, especially from mining areas, is not being used properly.
They believe this money is being sent to other places or used for other reasons instead of fixing the roads and other important things in their towns.
They also complained that the government is collecting more taxes, like for cars, but still not fixing the roads, which makes it dangerous to travel.
In one case, the BRS said their efforts helped get some money approved to fix roads, showing their work can make a difference.
BRS party members protested across the district demanding improvements in roads and basic infrastructure.
Protesters accused the current government of misusing and diverting District Mineral Fund (DMF) for political purposes.
Allegations were made that funds meant for mining-affected areas are being rerouted to other constituencies.
The BRS criticized the government for increasing vehicle taxes while failing to repair roads, leading to rising accidents.
In one instance, sustained pressure from BRS reportedly led to the sanction of Rs 2.5 crore for road repairs in the Pinapaka constituency.
