‘Operation Trishul’ Launches Tirupati Campaign Against Drugs, Crime, Accidents

Tirupati officials have started a program called Operation Trishul.

It aims to reduce drug abuse, crimes against women and children, and road accidents.

Local teams will look for problems in villages, wards and panchayats.

They will teach people about the dangers of drugs and help users receive counseling and rehabilitation.

Officials will also inspect places where drugs may be sold and take strong action against suppliers.

Schools and colleges will hold awareness programs.

Road officials will study accidents and improve lights, signals, barriers and other safety features.

They will especially check 48 dangerous road locations.

Many government departments will work together to carry out the program.
