Human remains found in desert amid Nancy Guthrie disappearance investigation
An 84-year-old woman named Nancy Guthrie went missing from her home in Arizona in February.
She is the mother of Savannah Guthrie, a TV news host.
Police have been searching for her for a long time.
Recently, police found human remains in a desert area not far from her home.
But they do not know yet if the remains belong to Nancy.
The remains may have been there for a long time.
Someone sent notes asking for a lot of money to bring Nancy back.
Later notes said Nancy had died.
Nancy's family is offering a big reward for information.
They are asking anyone who knows something to come forward.
Pima County Sheriff's Department found human remains in a desert area near West Ajo Way and South La Cholla Boulevard in Arizona, about 15 miles from Nancy Guthrie's home.
Authorities said there is no evidence linking the remains to the Guthrie investigation, and the remains appear to have been at the site for a considerable period.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing on 1 February after being apparently abducted from her Arizona home without her critical medications or phone.
Ransom notes demanded $4 million in bitcoin and later claimed Guthrie perished shortly after being taken and was 'buried in nature.'
Savannah Guthrie has appealed for public help, and the family has offered a $1 million reward for information leading to her mother's recovery.
