NSE IPO Advances After SEBI NOC Resolves Long-Pending Issues

NSE IPO Advances After SEBI NOC Resolves Long-Pending Issues

The National Stock Exchange wants to sell shares to the public through an IPO.

India’s market regulator, SEBI, has now given the exchange a no-objection certificate.

This means the plan has passed an important regulatory step.

NSE CEO Ashish Chauhan said older problems connected to the IPO have been resolved.

However, NSE still has more approvals and procedures to complete.

Chauhan also said Indian families are putting more of their savings into shares.

The share of equities in household savings rose from 1.8% in FY12 to 15.2% in FY25.

NSE has not yet announced when the IPO will happen or how much it will cost.
