NEET UG: MCC Reset Facility Closes at 11 AM Today
The NEET UG test is how students in India try to get into medical and nursing colleges.
After the test, students fill in forms to choose which college and course they want.
The Medical Counselling Committee, or MCC, runs this counselling process.
Sometimes students type the wrong information or pick the wrong choice on their form.
The MCC opened a special 'reset' facility so students can fix those mistakes.
That reset facility closes today, August 12, 2026, at 11 o'clock in the morning.
Students must finish any corrections before that time.
After the deadline, candidates choose and lock their college choices.
The first round of seat results comes out on August 17, 2026.
The MCC reset/unlock facility for NEET UG Round 1 counselling closes today, August 12, 2026, at 11 AM.
The facility lets candidates correct registration errors, change wrongly selected options, recheck details, and resubmit via the MCC portal.
Registration and fee payment run from August 5 to August 12, 2026, with the payment facility closing at 6 PM on August 12.
Choice filling and choice locking run until August 13, 2026; seat allotment processing happens August 13-16, and Round 1 results are due August 17.
The Round 1 seat matrix includes 31,728 seats across MBBS (27,292), BDS, and B.Sc Nursing (368) programmes in participating institutions.
Reported BDS seat figures in the source are unclear due to a formatting error, so only the total and other course numbers are listed.
