IAS Officer Faces Action for Controversial Remarks

An IAS officer named Santosh Verma made some controversial statements.

He said that the high court is stopping people from Scheduled Tribes (ST) from becoming civil judges.

This made many people angry, especially Brahmin groups.

They plan to protest outside the chief minister's house on December 14.

Verma is also the president of an organization called AJJAKS.

He has made other controversial statements before, like saying that reservations should continue until a Brahmin gives his daughter in marriage to an ST person.

The government says they will take action against him for violating the code of conduct.

Now, the government has found that Verma's IAS promotion was based on forged documents.

They are sending a proposal to dismiss him from the IAS cadre and have issued a formal chargesheet against him.

Verma denies wrongdoing and claims the controversy is due to internal leadership disputes within AJAKS.
