Turkish Drones Demonstrate Autonomous Formation Flying
A company in Turkey called Baykar showed off some really smart drones called Kizilelma.
These drones can fly together in perfect formation without any human pilots.
They use special technology like artificial intelligence and sensors to stay in sync and avoid crashing into each other.
These drones are special because they can carry a lot of weapons and fly far distances.
They can even fight in the air and help other fighter jets.
The company says these drones will be ready to use with the Turkish Navy and Air Force in about a year and a half.
This is a big deal because it shows how technology is changing the way wars might be fought in the future.
Baykar demonstrated autonomous formation flying with Kizilelma drones on December 28.
The drones use AI, sensors, and real-time algorithms to fly in formation without human pilots.
Kizilelma drones have a payload capacity of 1,500 kg and a combat radius of 500 nautical miles.
They can engage in beyond visual range combat using Gökdoğan BVR missiles with a range of 100-200 km.
The drones are expected to be operationally deployed with the Turkish Navy and Air Force within 12-18 months.
