Mahima Makwana: From Mumbai Chawl to Netflix's Musafir Cafe
Mahima Makwana is an actress from India.
She started acting on TV when she was only 9 years old.
When she was 13, she got a big role in a show called Sapne Suhaane Ladakpan Ke, and many people came to know her.
Her dad died when she was just 5 months old, so her mom raised her alone in a small Mumbai home called a chawl.
Mahima says she and her mother worked very hard to build their life from nothing, and she is proud of what they earned.
In 2021, she appeared in her first movie, Antim, with superstar Salman Khan.
Salman Khan told her there is no substitute for hard work, which she calls her biggest learning.
Now she stars in a romantic Netflix show called Musafir Cafe with actor Vikrant Massey.
The show came out on July 24, and a second season is already planned.
Mahima Makwana began acting as a 9-year-old child artiste in Baalika Vadhu and became a household name at 13 with the titular role in Sapne Suhaane Ladakpan Ke.
She made her Bollywood debut in Salman Khan's 2021 action-thriller Antim: The Final Truth, a 10-minute part opposite Aayush Sharma.
Her father died when she was five months old, and she was raised by a single mother in a Mumbai chawl, saying together they 'made a life from scratch.'
Musafir Cafe, her Netflix debut co-starring Vikrant Massey, Vedika Pinto, Adil Hussain, and Sadiya Siddiqui, was released on July 24 and has been renewed for a second season.
The romantic drama is adapted from Divya Prakash Dubey's bestselling novel, directed by Ruchir Arun, and produced by Terribly Tiny Tales (TTT) and Homemade Stories.
