Sonia Gandhi Memoir Row Deepens as BJP Counters Censorship Claims

Congress and the BJP are arguing about Sonia Gandhi’s memoir.

Congress says the controversy involves censorship.

The BJP says Congress is presenting the issue in a misleading way.

To support its argument, the BJP mentioned a 2014 autobiography by K. Natwar Singh.

The BJP said Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had met Singh before a government was formed in 2004.

It claimed they discussed what he might write about that time.

The BJP also asked why parts of Sonia Gandhi’s memoir would need fact-checking.

It further questioned why Congress was allegedly nervous about making public 51 cartons of Jawaharlal Nehru’s letters.
