Bayeux Tapestry Exhibition Draws Sold-Out Crowds Across Britain

Bayeux Tapestry Exhibition Draws Sold-Out Crowds Across Britain

The Bayeux Tapestry is a very old piece of embroidered cloth.

It shows pictures of the events around the Battle of Hastings in 1066.

The artwork is about 70 meters long and was probably made in England nearly 1,000 years ago.

It normally belongs in France, but it is now being shown at the British Museum.

This is the first time it has been displayed outside France in recorded history.

Many people wanted to see it, and 100,000 tickets have already been sold.

Shops, bakeries, pubs, museums, and schools have created special activities connected to it.

The loan will last until July 2027 and has been celebrated by British and French leaders.
