Delhi to Deny Fuel to Old Vehicles from July 1st
Delhi is stopping old cars from getting fuel to help clean the air.
Starting July 1st, 2025, any diesel car older than 10 years or petrol car older than 15 won't be able to get gas in Delhi.
Cameras at gas stations will check car license plates.
This rule applies to cars from any state, not just Delhi, to stop pollution.
The city is expanding this to nearby areas to make the air cleaner.
EoL vehicles, regardless of registration state, will be denied fuel in Delhi starting July 1, 2025.
Vehicles will be identified via ANPR cameras at 500 fuel stations, with remaining stations completing installation by June 30.
Diesel vehicles older than 10 years and petrol vehicles older than 15 years are targeted.
Enforcement teams from traffic and transport departments will impound non-compliant vehicles.
Implementation will expand to NCR districts by April 1, 2026, following phased ANPR installation.
