Justice Chauhan to Head Jharkhand High Court, SC Recommends
The Supreme Court Collegium decided that Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan will be the new head judge of the Jharkhand High Court.
Justice Chauhan is currently a judge in Himachal Pradesh and has been a lawyer since 1989.
The decision was made on May 26, 2025.
Justice MS Ramachandra Rao, the current head judge, will move to become the Chief Justice of Tripura High Court.
Also, former Jharkhand High Court Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, was moved to the Telangana High Court.
The Supreme Court Collegium recommended Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan as the next Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court.
The decision was made during a meeting held on May 26, 2025.
Justice Chauhan is currently a judge in the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
The current Chief Justice of Jharkhand, MS Ramachandra Rao, will become the Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court.
Former Jharkhand High Court Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh was made the Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court.
