Gujarat Invests Rs 5,000 Crore for Daytime Farm Power
The Gujarat government is working hard to give farmers electricity during the day so they can water their crops when it's light outside.
This is part of a big plan called the Kisan Suryoday Yojana.
The government has spent a lot of money to build new power stations and lines to make this happen.
Farmers are happy because they no longer have to water their fields at night, which was dangerous and wasteful.
The plan is almost finished, and by 2026, all farmers in Gujarat will have daytime electricity.
This helps them work better and makes their lives safer and easier.
Gujarat aims to provide daytime electricity for irrigation to all farmers by March 2026.
The Kisan Suryoday Yojana has already covered 98.66% of the state, benefiting 19.69 lakh farmers.
The government has invested Rs 5,353.62 crore in new substations and transmission lines.
Farmers report improved irrigation management, reduced water wastage, and enhanced safety.
Future plans include additional investments of Rs 1,000 crore for further infrastructure improvements.
