AAIB Investigates Air India Plane Crash Causes
A plane from Air India crashed right after taking off from Ahmedabad airport last year.
The plane was going to London.
A lot of people died, but one person survived.
The government says a group called AAIB is looking into why the crash happened.
They found out that the plane's engines stopped working because some switches were turned off.
But one of the pilots said he didn't turn them off.
The AAIB is still checking everything and will tell everyone what really happened soon.
The government says they are being very open about the investigation.
The AAIB is investigating the causes of the Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner crash at Ahmedabad airport on June 12, 2025.
A preliminary report was released on July 12, 2025, indicating that both engines lost thrust due to fuel cut-off switches being moved to the 'CUTOFF' position.
The cockpit voice recorder revealed a pilot stating he had not turned off the fuel control switches.
The final investigation report is pending, with an interim statement published on June 12, 2026.
The crash resulted in 260 fatalities, including 241 on board and 19 on the ground, with one survivor.
