Agra Leads in Real Estate Returns Among Tier 2 Cities
If you're thinking about buying a house to make money, you might think big cities like Mumbai or Bengaluru are the best.
But a financial expert says that smaller cities, called Tier 2 cities, have actually been doing much better recently!
In the last four years, cities like Agra have seen the biggest jumps in house prices.
Agra is doing well because lots of tourists visit the Taj Mahal, and the government is also working on new projects and transport links.
Plus, homes are still relatively cheap there compared to the bigger cities.
Investment banker Sarthak Ahuja reported Tier 2 cities had the best real estate returns in the last four years.
Agra saw the highest property price increase, at 94%.
Other Tier 2 cities with significant price rises include Trivandrum (54%), Mangalore (57%), and Bhubaneswar (58%).
Agra benefits from tourism, government projects, and its inclusion in industrial corridors.
Real estate in Agra is considered affordable, with prices starting at Rs 3,500–5,000 per sq. ft.
