Inter Miami Appoint Cristian Kily Gonzalez as New Head Coach
Inter Miami has chosen Cristian “Kily” Gonzalez to be its new coach.
He is from Rosario, the same hometown as Lionel Messi.
Gonzalez used to play soccer for famous European clubs and Argentina.
He became a coach in 2020.
Guillermo Hoyos will keep coaching temporarily while Gonzalez waits for permission to work in the United States.
Miami has struggled recently, losing four of its last five games.
The team is still second in its conference but is 10 points behind Nashville.
Hoyos was also suspended and fined for breaking league rules about returning late after halftime.

Interim manager Guillermo Hoyos will remain in charge until Gonzalez receives a U.S. work permit.
The 52-year-old Gonzalez previously played for Inter Milan, Valencia and Zaragoza and earned 56 Argentina caps.
Gonzalez began managing in 2020 after playing, taking charge of three Argentine clubs before joining Miami.
