Dabur, Patanjali Toothpaste Packaging Dispute Heads to Court
Two big companies, Dabur and Patanjali, are fighting again!
Dabur says Patanjali's new toothpaste packaging looks too much like their popular Dabur Red toothpaste, which could confuse people.
They tried to solve it by talking, but it didn't work.
This isn't the first time they've disagreed; Dabur previously sued Patanjali over an ad for Chyawanprash.
The court will now decide about the toothpaste packaging issue in December.
Both companies are trying to win over customers in the Indian market.
Dabur and Patanjali failed to resolve their toothpaste packaging dispute through mediation.
Dabur alleges Patanjali's Dant Kanti Red packaging resembles its Dabur Red toothpaste.
Dabur objects to the overall look and feel of Patanjali's packaging, introduced in December 2024.
This is not the first dispute; Dabur previously sued Patanjali over a Chyawanprash advertisement.
