Weinstein Retrial: Mistrial Declared Amid Jury Dispute
Imagine a very important trial where they were deciding if Harvey Weinstein did something bad.
The people deciding, called a jury, started arguing so much they couldn't agree on one of the charges.
One person on the jury even said they felt threatened.
The judge had to stop the trial on that one part.
Even though they stopped that one part, the jury did agree Weinstein was guilty of something else.
He's already in jail for something else too, so he has to stay in jail.
A mistrial was declared on a rape charge against Harvey Weinstein after jury issues.
The jury reached a guilty verdict on one count of sexual assault against Miriam Haley.
Weinstein was acquitted on another sexual assault charge related to Kaja Sokola.
The defense plans to appeal the sexual assault conviction.
Weinstein is already serving a 16-year sentence in a separate California case.
