Congress to Allocate 50% Seats to Women, Youth in Kerala
The Indian National Congress has decided to give 50% of its seats in the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections to women and young candidates.
This decision was made by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and is in line with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's commitment to giving more opportunities to these groups.
The party's leader in Kerala, V D Satheesan, said that this move does not mean that senior leaders will be sidelined.
Instead, it aims to provide more chances for the younger generation while still valuing the experience of senior leaders.
The Congress will allocate up to 50% of its seats to women and youth in the Kerala Assembly elections.
This decision aligns with the AICC's policy and Rahul Gandhi's commitment to greater representation.
The move aims to provide more opportunities for the younger generation without sidelining senior leaders.
Senior leaders' experience and advice will still be valued and utilized.
No senior leaders have left the party due to this decision.
