Five Militants Arrested in Manipur on Extortion Charges
In Manipur, police caught five people accused of being militants.
They were arrested in different areas of the state.
One person, Akoijam Robinson, is accused of taking money from schools.
Police also found a gun with him.
The others arrested belonged to different militant groups.
In a separate search, the security forces found radio equipment.
Five militants arrested across Manipur on charges of extortion.
Arrests occurred in Thoubal, Kakching, Imphal West, and Tengnoupal districts.
Akoijam Robinson of UPPK arrested for allegedly extorting schools in Imphal.
A .32 pistol was seized from Akoijam Robinson.
Other arrests involved members of KCP (Noyon), PREPAK (Pro), PREPAK, and KCP (PWG).
