Delhi Court Grants Parole to J-K MP

A court in Delhi has allowed a Member of Parliament from Jammu and Kashmir, Engineer Rashid, to attend the upcoming Budget Session of Parliament.

He is currently in jail because of a case related to terrorism.

The court said he can go to Parliament from January 28 to April 2, 2026, whenever the Parliament is meeting.

This is not the first time he has been allowed to attend Parliament.

Earlier, he was also allowed to take his oath as an MP and vote in the Vice Presidential election.

The Budget Session will start on January 28, 2026, and the Union Budget will be presented on February 1, 2026, which is a Sunday.

The government has called an all-party meeting on January 27 to discuss the legislative agenda.

There are nine bills pending before the Lok Sabha, and the opposition and government are campaigning on different aspects of the new legislation.
