Scotland Handover Commonwealth Flag to India for 2030 Games
The 2026 Commonwealth Games ended in Glasgow, Scotland.
At the closing ceremony, the flag and baton that represent the Games were handed over to India.
Indian athletes Neeraj Chopra and PT Usha, along with Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, received the flag.
The ceremony also had music and dancing from both Scotland and India.
India will host the next Commonwealth Games in 2030 in Ahmedabad, celebrating the Games’ 100th anniversary.

India will host the 2030 Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad, marking the event’s centenary.
The flag was received by Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra, IOA president PT Usha, and Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi.
The ceremony featured cultural performances and an Indo‑Scottish musical collaboration symbolising the handover.
India finished fourth in the 2026 medal table with 39 medals, including 13 golds, despite a smaller contingent.
