Four Railway Track Projects Approved to Boost Odisha Connectivity

The government approved four projects to build more railway tracks.

Together, they will add 410 kilometres of track.

The projects cover parts of Odisha, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

More tracks can help freight and passenger trains move more easily.

They are expected to support the transport of coal, iron ore, cement, steel and food grains.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said the projects will improve connectivity in coastal and industrial districts.

He also said they could help people reach tourist, religious and heritage places.

The projects may benefit about 6,448 villages and 60 lakh people.

The approval was welcomed as an investment in Odisha’s rail infrastructure and future growth.
