Cochin Airport Expands Export Cargo Warehouse
Cochin International Airport has opened a bigger and better warehouse for sending goods out of the country.
This new warehouse can handle more goods, up to 1,25,000 tonnes every year, which is a lot more than before.
It has special rooms for different types of goods, like cold rooms for things that need to stay cool, and safe rooms for dangerous or valuable items.
This will help businesses send their goods faster and more safely.
The airport's boss, S. Suhas, opened the new warehouse and said it will make things better for everyone who uses it.
Cochin International Airport Limited inaugurated an extended export cargo warehouse.
The expansion increases annual export cargo handling capacity from 75,000 tonnes to 1,25,000 tonnes.
New facility includes two additional X-ray machines, Cold Rooms, Dangerous Goods room, Radioactive Cargo room, and a Valuables room.
The warehouse was inaugurated by S. Suhas, Managing Director of CIAL, on December 30, 2025.
