How to safely clean your TV screen without causing damage

A TV screen is very delicate, so cleaning it the wrong way can damage it.

Never spray water or cleaner directly onto the screen because moisture can get inside.

Before cleaning, turn the TV off and let the screen cool down.

For stubborn marks, you can mix a tiny bit of mild dish soap with distilled water.

Dip a clean microfiber cloth into the mixture and wring it out so it is only slightly damp.

Wipe the screen gently without pressing hard, then dry it with a clean dry microfiber cloth.

Strong cleaners like glass spray, disinfectants, alcohol and bleach can damage the screen's protective coating.

Paper towels, tissues, rough rags and sponges can scratch the screen or leave fibres.

Baby wipes and wet wipes can leave residue, so it is best to avoid them too.
