Kolkata Warehouse Fire: Compensation Announced
A big fire happened in a warehouse in Kolkata where people were making momos.
The fire started early in the morning and spread to other nearby warehouses.
Many people got hurt, and eight people died.
The fire was so big that it took a long time to put out, and even the next day, there were still small fires.
The warehouse didn't have the right safety measures, and the fire department didn't give it permission to operate.
The fire minister and other important people came to see the damage.
The owner of the warehouse blamed the storage and volume of the items for the fire.
The bodies of the victims were too burnt to be identified, and many people are still missing.
The government has announced that each family of the victims will get Rs 10 lakh as compensation once the bodies are identified.
A fire broke out in a momo company's warehouse in Nazirabad, Anandapur, Kolkata, around 3 am on Sunday, spreading to two adjacent warehouses.
